The Legend of Bean is a rather good RPG/adventure game on the RPGMaker format. Not quite innovative, especially the storyline, but with a fair gameplay. At no point I felt lost like not knowing where to head to. I appreciate that after the main quest is completed you can still travel through the whole game world in order to defeat other bosses and eventually get a 100% achievements. I don't care if the grammar isn't perfect, I'm not expecting the same language level as in a book. Dialogues are perfectly understandable and that's enough for that kind of games. As far as language is concerned, I only regret that the achievements descriptions are not translated but most of them are story related and the others can be obtained by beating all the bosses. That's all you need to know. And at worst one can still use online translations ! Considering the price and the hours of entertainment the game provides, I do recommend it !. This is a pretty fun, super basic jrpg kind of game. Half the fun is the absolutely ATROCIOUS translation. I mean its really bad, but in a hilarious way and its not quite bad enough that you dont know whats going on.. Too many hidden arbitrary requirements (items, levels...) to beat boss fights. And turn system sucks really bad. At least the sequel is slightly better, but this one isn't worth the 3 hours it'll take you to reach the final boss, which you won't be able to beat unless your tank is at a certain level to get a certain ability that will allow you to outdps his insane healing. If you don't have it, you'll be stuck in an infinite loop until you run out of MP items, alt+f4 or let yourself get killed.. I'm hating how many negative reviews I'm writing lately. This game was not made by someone who is English and I don't fault that against them. However the difficulty curve in this game is bizzarre. Plus I'm not sure what the developer wanted you to do, but this game has an inordinate amount of money grinding for gear in it. And it gets ridiculous pretty early on. This is compounded by the fact that this gave has an ATB system which I haven't seen in RPGmaker before. However this is bad since there's no like 'wait' mode, and unlike you which has human faults and reaction times, the AI doesn't in this game. Which becomes very obvious later on when you have to do split second reactions to get the moves off in the right order. Also as a side note something that RIDICULOUSLY♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥me off is that one of the minions to the main bad guy is a cross dressing incubus. However since apparently NO ONE KNOWS WHAT AN INCUBUS IS, the developer calls him a succubus. Succubi are female, incubi are male. There is a difference! Alas I stopped playing at the final boss since I ran out of revives during the fight and he KO'd my healer. One of the few interesting things about this game is that you only have a 3 man party instead of the typical 4. AVOID THIS GAME.. This game seems like it's going to be dumb and mindless, but it's really not. It's actually quite challenging. If you like a good challenge go for it, you can't go wrong with it's low price!. The legend of bean is a cute rpg/jrpg game by Windward_Birds, the graphics and sounds are what you come to expect from an RpgMaker game, not bad, its has been done well, it does have some problems there though, the sound does cuts out now and then. Along with the sound i came across 1 other problem in the game, that was sometime you would find an npc, in your way and you could not get past them, which was easy sorted, you would just leave that area through a door close by and re-enter and the npc will have moved. The combat is fast paced, the npc's dont wait for you they will just take their turn when it comes up, so be per-pair to be quick on those fingers. Oh yeah and watch out for those pesky speeders, yep you heard me right, speeders. You will find some npc's racing around the screen at break-neck speed, if you want to get past them just hit 2 button in the direction you want to go to speed ur self upThe story is the usual fair of an jrpg, so dont be expecting anything ground breaking, but saying that it was a good storySo is the game worth buying?, well yes it is, its has a nice story, graphics and sound, what shines in this game is the fast combat and the game only costs 2 pounds or 3 dollars, i give this game a solid 7.1/10Here is a vid to show you the game play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYOynbGuKhE
