Entire fights are just floating around hoping to land a hit. - Heavy characters are just as light as light characters, making their playstyle pointless. No hard hitter should be featherlite. Character weight is also impossible to tell in the first place, as they are all the same size and build. - Sprites dont seem to adhere to a model at all. Characters swell and deflate at will. A fallen character looks gigantic, but on standing, shrinks. - gravity and reaction to impact is completely arbitrary. - Recovery moves do not function consistently. An up-special recovery sometimes makes you stagnate in midair with no recovery, (namely Hoon's hurricane kick) or shoot up offscreen to your instant death. PROS: - Character movelists are expansive and versatile (in theory), and draw heavy inspiration from fighting game tropes. Many playstyles feel familiar and comfortable, when they work. - Everything combos into everything. Incredibly fluid. When it works. - The art direction is incredibly pleasing to look at.
